What is (AVE) Audio Visual Entrainment?

AVE is a holistic modality and revolutionary approach to overall wellness.
It involves the use of sound and light to influence the brain’s natural rhythms, with the goal of promoting mental, emotional, and physical well-being.
AVE combines audio tones (such as binaural beats) and visual stimuli (like flashing lights or patterns) to stimulate the brain in specific ways, potentially helping to regulate mood, reduce stress, enhance focus, and improve sleep.
AVE works by synchronizing the brainwaves to the frequency of the stimuli, a process known as “entrainment.” This process aligns with the holistic approach by addressing the mind-body connection, aiming to restore balance and optimize overall functioning.
As it can impact various aspects of a person’s mental and physiological state, it aligns with the idea of treating the whole person —considering not just isolated symptoms but the overall system of mind, body, and emotions.
Brainwave Frequencies
Essentially, audio-visual brain entrainment works by guiding the brain into specific frequencies associated with different mental states, with the goal of improving mental and cognitive health, meditation and conscious exploration for overall performance and well-being.
The process works by utilizing certain frequencies of sound and light that match or influence the brain’s natural electrical oscillations, also known as brainwaves. These brainwaves are categorized into different types based on frequency:
Gamma
(30-44 Hz)
Gamma is the only frequency found in every part of the brain.
Benefits: Improved memory, heightened perception, increased awareness and mindfulness and can boost your brain's immunity and function. Associated with peak performance states. Improved cognition and problem-solving ability.
Beta
(14 -30 Hz)
Beta is a higher-frequency brain wave.

Benefits: Increased alertness, focus, mental clarity, energy, and cognitive function. Analytical thinking and solving problems.
Alpha
(8-12 Hz)
The brain is active but relaxed.

Benefits: Decreases depression, combats anxiety, promotes calmness, enhances focus, reduces stress, increases learning ability, and creativity.
Theta
(3.5-7.5 Hz)
Slow brainwave activity.

Benefits: Deep relaxation, meditation, internal focus, spiritual awareness, reduced anxiety, enhanced learning, and is a repository for memories, emotions, and sensations.
Delta
(0.1-3.5 Hz)
Delta waves highest in amplitude and the lowest waves.

Benefits: Restorative sleep, stress relief, anti-aging hormones, rejuvenates and promotes the immune system, natural healing.
